Australian pop star Kylie Minogue and her boyfriend, the French actor Olivier Martinez are no longer a couple and have finished their four year relationship.
The singer and her womanizing boyfriend issued a joint statement to confirm that the decision was ‘mutual and amicable.’
According to statement,
They have made it clear that the decision to go their separate ways was mutual and amicable.
The media’s false accusations of disloyalty have saddened them both. The two remain very close friends.
British tabloid News of the World claimed last Sunday that Martinez, 41, had been disloyal and the couple’s relationship was on the rocks.
The separation comes at the end of a tumultuous time for Kylie after she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
The 38-year-old singer was forced to cancel two upcoming concerts on the British leg of her ‘Showgirl Homecoming’ tour last month due to a respiratory tract infection.
Minogue spoke how her boyfriend helped her through the darkest days of her cancer battle.
She told British Elle magazine last November,
Olli was there all the time, helping with the practical stuff and being protective. I will say that he was incredible.
He didn’t hesitate in cancelling work and putting projects on hold so he could be with me. He’s the most honorable man I have ever met.
