Lady GaGa has created a new record in the music awards history after receiving 13 nominations for this year’s MTV VMAs. GaGa’s record-breaking feat include the nominations for Best Pop Video, Best Dance Music Video, Best Female Video and Best Choreography for chart-topping single Bad Romance.
The Sun quotes her as saying,
I’m so honoured for all the little monsters and self-professed freaks of the universe, to have more VMA nominations in a single year than any artist in MTV history. Ironically, I’m even more proud it’s an unlucky number 13. A long time ago the world told me and my little monsters we would never be heard, together we changed the rules. God put me on Earth for three reasons: To make loud music, gay videos and cause a damn ruckus. Thank you, MTV.
To be honest, I’m trying my best to avoid smashing GaGa in this post because this is the most nominations received by any artist in a single year in MTV history, and she deserves nothing but plain kudos. Well done, Lady GaGa! Congratulations!!
