Lady GaGa’s ‘raw meat’ bikini enrages PETA

Lady Gaga has taken her penchant for weird outfits to a whole new level. The weird singer teamed up with world-renowned fashion photographer Terry Richardson to pose in a bikini made of slabs of raw red meat for the cover of Japan???s Vogue Hommes. And if that was not enough, she even placed a small slab of beef on her head like a beret. And this was more than enough for PETA to slam their one-time supporter of Rather Go Naked than Wear Fur campaign.
The Sun quotes PETA president Ingrid Newkirk as saying,

Lady Gaga???s job is to do outlandish things, and this certainly qualifies as outlandish because meat is something you want to avoid putting on or in your body,??? Newkirk remarked. ???No matter how beautifully it is presented, flesh from a tortured animal is flesh from a tortured animal. Meat represents bloody violence and suffering, so if that???s the look they were going for, they achieved it.

I don’t think I’m in a position to comment on GaGa’s out-of-the-world weirdness, but my mind is certainly trying to decode an equation. What’s more weird – wearing a bikini made of raw meat, or romping onstage with rotting dead bodies? By the way, I’m an avid meat eater and I’m getting cramps just by looking at GaGa in that meat bikini, so you can guess the condition of those veggies out there.
