Popular disc jockey Aqeel was in custody at the Dubai airport for allegedly possessing a banned drug.
According to Aqeel’s lawyer he was arrested for carrying 0.4gm of ecstasy drug which was found in his bag.
Ashish Mehta claimed that Aqeel, who was still in detention, was not a consumer of the drug, as the test of his blood and urine was done and the result showed no trace of the drug.
Ashish even said the media that he will not let this go so easily, as he says:
We will fight the charges in court.
According to sources Aqeel had gone to Dubai for a radio programmer but due to his arrest his wife came to Dubai the very next day, wife Farah Khan claimed that he did not use drugs and she suspected that somebody must have planted the smuggled goods in his bag.
DJ Aqeel is currently fighting his case in Dubai and soon the truth will be out, but if there is no drugs in his blood then its for sure been planed but cant say much, lets see what happens.
