Either troubles follow Lindsay Lohan or she has an admiration for them. This time the ???Mean Girls??? star is facing fresh prosecution for a jewelry theft. The predicament is the jewelry store is none other than Kamofie & Co. which happens to be close to LiLo???s new Venetian home. On January 22, she is said to have walked straight out of the posh store with a necklace of $2,500 without paying for it. Although it was returned by a confederate before the detectives could start probing her.
According to TMZ,
The judge ruled Lindsay’s preliminary hearing and probation violation case will be heard at the same time. At the end of the preliminary hearing, if the judge feels it’s more likely than not that she stole the necklace, Lindsay will be thrown in jail immediately while she awaits trial on the grand theft case.
So even if Lindsay is ultimately found not guilty at trial, she’ll still be in jail for the probation violation.
Short story … it’s likely Holley will plead guilty or no contest on behalf of her client, and then hope the judge gives Lindsay less than 6 months.
Lindsay is in double jeopardy for violating her probation under a drunken driving case with this theft. So chances are that she may actually end up behind the bars. Besides this, authorities at the Betty Ford Center have not pressed any charges yet for an argument between and an employee.
It is high time that Hollywood stars Lindsay learn a lesson as they think getting away with anything is that easy.
