Lindsay Lohan got two awards for her masterpiece I Know Who Killed Me and she did not go to collect the trophies. Before you say, ‘how mean’, let me tell you that she did not get the Oscars but the Razzies or the Raspberries Awards, which are given to the worst of Hollywood. The trophy is appropriately, a gold plated trinket which costs $4.89.
Lindsay has been awarded two of them. One for Worst Actress (tie): Lindsay Lohan (as Aubrey) and Lindsay Lohan (as Dakota), in I Know Who Killed Me. The other for Worst Screen Couple (Lindsay Lohan and Lindsay Lohan) for the same movie. One must say she had picked a good project as the film also bagged eight Razzies.
The movie was made during the period when Lindsay was going in and out of rehab while also facing drugs and rash driving charges, so one can perhaps be a little merciful on her. But there are no excuses for the rest of the crew of the film. In I Know Who Killed Me, she plays a small-town girl abducted by a psychopath, and an alter-ego stripper. It was a major box office flop, with takings of $9m (£4.5m) worldwide.
Lindsay can take some consolation from the fact that she is in august company. The other recipient of the Razzies is Eddie Murphy.
