Lindsay Lohan is done with her hide-n-seek game with the law. Unfortunately, she wasn’t the winner because Judge Marsha Revel found herself unable to cope with LiLo’s unfair practices and decided to lay the smack down on her at a court hearing today by sending her to prison. She has been sentenced to 90 days in jail for violating her probation in her DUI case, followed by a 90-day inpatient rehab program.
According to E! Online,
Judge Marsha Revel sentenced the troubled star to 90 days in jail after ruling that she violated the terms of her probation in her 2007 DUI and drug case by failing to promptly attend court-mandated weekly alcohol education classes and submit to random drug tests, all the while showing little respect for the court.
The judge also ordered Lohan to complete a 90-day inpatient substance abuse program after she’s out of jail. She must refrain from drinking alcohol and submit to random drug-testing, plus her probation has been kicked up a notch to “formal probation” and she has two days to report for duty. She was ordered to report to the courthouse by July 20 at 8:30 a.m. to begin serving her term in Los Angeles County Jail. She will also be required to wear her SCRAM bracelet until then.
I don’t want to sound harsh on LiLo, but I feel this is just the right thing for her. These 180 days will be more than enough for LiLo to learn some good lessons and change her life for the better. That, and it will also help her weed out the negative influences that are ruining her life. All the best, LiLo.
