Lindsay Lohan has told the court that she wasn’t drunk the night she bumped a driver off the road in the Beverly Hills area in 2005. (Surprise!)
In an expected statement submitted to the court on Friday, the actress denied charges of underage drinking.
The AP reports Lindsay as having said:
I did not consume an alcoholic beverage or any type of medication or drug.
The driver of the car Lindsay supposedly bumped off, Raymundo Ortego had pressed charges against the star for having allegedly hit him while driving-under-influence.
Interestingly, Mr. Ortego is also suing The Ivy, the restaurant he believes served alcohol to the then minor actress.
The 21-year old Lohan has however, countersued Ortego claiming he had been at fault as an illegal u-turn made by him had caused the crash.
I bet this story would have been more interesting if Britney had been driving that night instead of Lindsay! Never mind. Lindsay will do for the time being.
