Although a recent video shot at a New Year’s Eve party in Capri, Italy, showed Lindsay Lohan getting friendly with a champagne bottle, her lawyer maintains that she is back on track and cleaning up her drunken messy ways.
Blair Berk, Lohan’s attorney, said in a statement released Thursday,
After being handed a champagne bottle while on a dance floor in Italy on New Year’s Eve and drinking from it, the good news is that Lindsay immediately stopped, called her sponsor, and got herself back on track. There is no magic here. Unfortunately, Lindsay has to share her ‘one day at a time’ with the entire world.
Lindsay, who pleaded guilty to DUI and for possessing cocaine in August last year, was in Italy to receive an award at the Capri Hollywood International Film Festival.
The actress was arrested twice and served an 84-minute jail sentence along with a 30-day rehab stint last November. While she is under probation for three years, she also has to complete an 18-month alcohol education-program.
Girl, we’re proud you kept that champagne down. Beside a teeny-weeny glug or two isn’t exactly drinking, you know? And all’s well till you don’t take the party to the roads!
