This is getting more dramatic than I had imagined. It was just two days back that we heaved a great sigh of relief when Madonna’s rep released a statement about the couple’s $75 million settlement. But we are back to ground zero with Madonna and Guy coming up with a denial of that statement.
The couple issued a joint statement dismissing the previous statement as inaccurate and misleading.
A misleading and inaccurate statement, specifically in relation to the sums of money involved, was wrongly issued to AP this week. We have tried to maintain a dignified silence regarding the details of our divorce for the last few months whilst accepting the obvious media interest.
Now, this is not even remotely close to what I had imagined. I was happy thinking that Madge has ended this speculation game for good, but this is getting even more confused now. Though the couple’s denial is appended with their concern for the kids, I think the real scene is something else. Maybe they want the holiday season to pass away peacefully so that they can extend this divorce drama well into mid-2009!
Anyway, I’m literally tired to speculate anymore on this issue. I’ll just keep a tab on the happenings and report you the latest development.
