The Frozen girl has finally decided to embrace ‘The Big Apple’ and she has shortlisted two properties for her new abode. She said she wanted to be closer to her ailing dad who has been receiving treatment for colon cancer in ‘Leelanau County Hospital’, Michigan, which is relatively close to New York.
As reported earlier, Madonna was spotted around the East Coast in The Big Apple, looking for properties.
Though the recent hospital reports say that her father is improving, Madonna believes he is just putting on a brave face to benefit family and friends. She wants to be closer to him and show him more of his grandchildren to boost his spirit.
The other reason cited for her New york homecoming is that the Pop Queen is working on with a new album, with the work split between Los Angeles and London. And she will be definitely at an advantage if she moves into New york.
Madonna, who now lives almost permanently in the UK, already has a house in New york but she feels the place is not big enough for the whole family since the adoption of 1-year-old Malawi boy David Banda.
Guy Ritchie, her director husband, is not so keen on the idea because of a busy schedule in Los Angeles but once the Queen has decided he has no option but to follow her.
The new property which is supposed to be in her name is believed to be in the vicinity of £20million.
The Queen is set to grace The Big Apple very soon with her constant presence.
