Material Girl has publicly announced that she would extend all her support to Al Gore, if decides to contest US president in 2008.
Despite the world talking about Hillary Clinton’s strong candidature, Madonna has all her support for Gore. The pop singer told German weekly newspaper Die Zeit,
I have deep respect for Hillary Clinton as a woman, but think that Gore is a ‘great guy’. I would publicly support him if he joins the race.
Madonna says that she is thoroughly impressed by his stance on environmental issues. Gore won an Oscar this year for his documentary based on climate change titled, ‘An Inconvenient Truth.’
Gore, who served as vice president to Bill Clinton, lost to George W. Bush in the 2000 election. The lifelong Democrat has not refused on contesting again for the White House.
