Congratulations are due to Madonna for topping Forbes’ top-earning musicians 2009 by earning a sum of 110 million dollars. Most of the credit goes to her “Sticky and Sweet” world tour, as it was ranked as the top-grossing international and domestic tour of 2008 by Pollstar. Rest of the mega bucks came from her 11th studio album, “Hard Candy,” which debuted at No.1 in over 30 countries and sold 100,000 copies on the first day of release. Her endorsements including Louis Vuitton also contributed to the Material Girl’s treasure. The queen of pop has piped Canadian singer Celine Dion (with 100 million dollars) and R&B singer Beyonce Knowles (87 million dollars) to top the world’s highest earning musicians list.

Other’s included on the top 10 list by Forbes were:

Springsteen (70 million dollars), Kenny Chesney ( 65 million dollars), Coldplay, Rascal Flatts and AC DC ( 60 million dollars), The Eagles (55 million dollars) and Toby Keith( 52 million dollars).
