Madonna totally believes in the ???one-big-happy-family??? notion considering the fact that she wants to adopt as many as 10 kids! She reveals how she met her son David, when she got involved with Malawi orphans on the insistence of a woman who lived there. The woman approached Madonna for help saying,
Look, you have children; you???re a mother; you write children???s books; you donate money to children???s charities, so we know that you care. There???s a state of emergency going on here, over a million children orphaned by AIDS. People pay attention to what you do and what you say, so could you please help?
The rest, as they say, is history. The Material Girl couldn???t say no and one thing led to another. The decision to help the orphans gave her a new focus. she says,
There???s just so many that need parents and one???s more beautiful and lovely than the next.
