Hollywood liberals are notorious for their phony humanitarianism – especially their environmental activism. These millionaires preach higher energy taxes for middle and low class families and attack mothers driving SUVs, but then fly cross-country on their private jets and use an abundance of energy lighting their mansions and heating their Jacuzzis.
Few of them are more phony than Madonna. This is a woman desperate for relevance and an undeserved image of depth. She thinks that just because she’s into Kabbalah (I don’t know if that is how you spell it but I do not care) and wears a $1 red bracelet she is some philosopher. And that she is out to help the world. Madonna is self-righteous, but has no principles. Two reasons:
1) She embraced far-right Israeli leaders that preach ethnic cleansing against Palestinians and bombing Iran – leaders that even the Israeli left would have nothing do to with:
“Madonna is reportedly spending the Sabbath eve at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s home.” Forget about the celebrity culture and forget about a person whose knowledge of world affairs is distracted by her constant search for poor African children to buy. But it made me think: that American Zionist liberals are not even like Israeli Zionist liberals. Israeli Zionist liberals are aware of the right-left dichotomy (as bad and criminal and terrorist the Israeli Zionist liberals and conservatives are), while American liberal Zionists identify with Israel so much that they disregard the right-left dichotomy. This is a woman who would never be seen with a right-wing American politician, but would be honored to dine with a fascist Israeli leader. Such are the standards of American Zionist liberals: Madonna mocks George W. Bush, and honors Netanyahu, who is to the right of Bush.
2) She wants to now copy Oprah and build a girls school in Africa. All well and good. Expect she wants the poor Africans living on the land she covets to be forced off by the government so then Madonna can be ‘humanitarian’ and build her ‘generosity’ in the shadows of the deposed people and the invite the media to come and see how ‘civilized’ she is:
In a land dispute pitting Madonna against African villagers, Malawi’s government has sided with the pop star who has pumped millions into the impoverished Southern African country and adopted two of its children.
Villagers have been refusing to move from a plot of land near the capital, Lilongwe, where Madonna wants to build a $15-million school for girls. The government, however, says it had originally planned to develop the plot, and only allowed the villagers to live there until a project was identified.
Lilongwe District Commissioner Charles Kalemba, accompanied by other government officials and representatives from Madonna’s Raising Malawi charity, on Thursday met with about 200 villagers and told them they would have to move. The villagers have been offered other government land.
“Government allowed you to occupy this land because there was no project yet. But now that Madonna wants to build you a school you have to give way,” Kalemba told the villagers. “You are lucky that Madonna has compensated you for your houses, gardens and trees.”…
Headman Binson Chinkhota urged residents to move, saying the school would benefit their children. But Amos Mkuyu said the $1 500 in compensation he received from Madonna for mango trees and three homes was not enough. He said his family had been living on his three-hectare plot for three generations.
In light of this (and her silly Kabbalah; not to say the mysticism is silly but the Hollywood version of it is simplistic and phony piousness) it is not surprising that Madonna embraces Zionism and Revisionist Zionism no less. After all, Zionists are all about ethnic cleansing and denying the ‘inferior’ people so then they can bring ‘civilization’ to the land and build such nice things like schools and then invite the world to ignore the injustice of the theft of land and only concentrate on the depravity built on it and how so ‘civilized’ it is. Madonna takes a page out of Herzl: Building one’s ‘humanity’ on the denial of another people.
Yup, she’s nothing but material.
I believe this woman only adopted because she wanted to rival Angelina Jolie. What a phony!
