The controversial Pakistani actress Meera has once again come back to India to act in another Bollywood film. This time too she will once again be seen in the Mahesh Bhatt’s new film that is titled Shohrat- The Dark Side of Fame.
The film’s main focus will be Meera (she enacts a Bollywood actress) who is gravitating towards anonymity. She will be paired either by Bhatt’s favorite hero Emraan Hashmi or Muzzamil Ibrahim of Dhokha.
The film inspired by English film Sunset Boulevard will showcase the dark side of Bollywood like- street fights, casting couch and sexual betrayals. Bhatt has shown his trust in the scriptwriter of his previous films and therefore once again the film will be penned down by Shagufta Rafique script.
Earlier Meera had been to India in 2005, when her long cherished dream to act in an Indian film became true. The actress was selected to play a lead role in Bhatt’s wife, Soni Razdan’s film, Nazar. Though she fulfilled her dream of doing a Bollywood film but at the same time she had to face a lot of criticism by Pakistani government for one of her kissing scenes with co-star Ashmit Patel. For this passionate action she was even slammed a huge fine by Pak government.
Hopefully she has come prepared to face all the consequences as the film deals with ‘dark’ side of Bollywood.
