An 18 year-old Russian guy has been arrested in Manhattan Beach, California. He was accused of stalking and threatening to kill the teenage actress Hillary Duff.
Maksim Miakovsky was charged with making criminal threats and stalking Duff at an event she was scheduled to attend at the weekend. Police is holding a teenager on $200,000 ($303,168) bail.
Duff and her boyfriend Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden filed for restraining orders against Miakovsky,” for threatening to turn his infatuation for Duff into violent acts”.
According to court documents, Miakovsky‘ stated his intention of purchasing a weapon, and threatened to kill himself and to engage in dramatic actions to get her attention’.
Miakovsky, who is now a New York citizen immigrated from Russia to Los Angels two years ago ‘for the sole purpose of meeting and becoming romantically involved’ with 19year old actress.
