Mandy Moore says she knew she’d be different than Britney and Christina. Trust me, this is indeed refreshing, because Britney’s albums never really sound new to what she has done previously. Quite the same can be said of Christina too, about whom we’re not hearing much these days.
Mandy Moore is reinventing herself with ’70s kind of sound in her new album, “Amanda Leigh.” Unlike Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, Mandy did not stick to one formula that worked on them and made distinctive hits like “Candy” and “I Wanna Be With You.”
The singer-actress coherently believes that whatever success she has attained today was because she didn’t do the music, which she wasn’t happy doing.
Even if Mandy tried to jump off the bandwagon in doing so, it wasn’t bad at all.
