Its not that this 32 year old African American actress, who won the Academy Award for her role as serial killer Aileen Wuornos in Monster , has second thoughts about marrying her boyfriend actor Stuart Townsend. They are very happy with their relationship that is going steady for about five years now. One of the major reasons for their procrastination seems to be their wanting the legal recognition of lesbian and gay marriages.
As evidenced by their long term peaceful relationship Theron and Townsend seem to be a mature couple. As told to Glamour magazine for its July issue, Charlize who seems to have understood the essence of marriage feels that after the initial stages of love it is emotional and spiritual nurture and a sense of intrigue that seem to keep a marriage alive. Her remarkable maturity is revealed by her opinion that she will not mind her partner flirting with someone. Immense self confidence and trusting one???s partner are vital ingredients of a successful marriage.
Well, whatever the reasons, I think the best thing one can do is wait and watch.
