I sometimes wonder what makes celebrities sell their personal stuff? Is it to create publicity or just to get rid of extra stuff or is it just to make money? Recently, Meg Mathews is selling a lot of items from her household goods to personal items on eBay. Among them are sofas and even a pair of old leather handcuff.
Who knows what she was doing with those leather cuffs. Meg Mathews is Noel Gallagher’s ex-wife. Now she lives with her daughter Anais (seven years old). British pop star Noel broke up with Meg back in 2001. The two were notoriously famous for their rock n roll lifestyle and the open secret was they had drug parties in their house.
Meg and the gang:
People would get high in their house. Meg is working as an interior designer as of now. Celebrities like Liz Hurley, Jude Law, Kate Moss, and Anna Friel hung out with Meg Mathews and Noel back in the day. These folks were present during the house cleanup as well.
Items for sale:
Mathews is in the process of moving out of her Primerose hill home. So she is selling about 26000 pounds worth of stuff in an online auction. Boy, I think thats a lot of expensive stuff. The sofa that’s being sold in the auction witnessed some big parties. It is a Gothic style PVC furniture and a very prized possession. A source told the newspaper The Sun:
There are major Britpop artefact’s up for sale here. The sofa in particular was the scene of a lot of good nights (at Supernova Heights). There were some major celebs on it.
Also being auctioned are a Gucci dinner set, and the couple’s marital bed. I am sure there are people interested in this kind of stuff. Previously, there have been auctions like this. I guess no more wild parties for Meg.
