After enduring a lengthy dark phase filled with bad press, harsh criticisms and edgy personal life, Mel Gibson can look forward to some good moments and peace of mind this spring. His forthcoming film The Beaver, which unnecessarily got delayed due to his infamous scuffle with ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, will be released in spring 2011.

Mel Gibson’s first film since his rants to ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva were revealed will be released in spring 2011. ‘The Beaver’, which also stars Jodie Foster, sees Mel playing a man who speaks to a beaver hand puppet and was initially set for release in 2010 before being put back by Summit Entertainment who are believed to have deemed the recordings too damaging to the possibilities of the film., Deadline.com reports. However, a CBS News/Vanity Fair poll discovered earlier this year just over three quarters of people did not make note of his personal life when going to see his films, possibly pushing Summit into releasing the film early next year.
All I can say at this moment is… all the best, Mel! I have no doubt that you will endear yourself to the world once again with a brilliant performance in Beaver, but then too, let’s cross our fingers and pray that the spring brings some fresh air in every corner of your life.
