New Zealand-born actress Melanie Lynskey has tied the nuptial knot with her American boyfriend Jimmi Simpson in a small ceremony in Queenstown. The wedding was organized at the Chapel By the Lake and the reception was at Stoneridge Estate.
Lynskeys mother revealed that the wedding was a family affair and only a select group of friends were invited. The wedding party of 13 included nine bridesmates, among whom was actress Emily Deschanel, who worked with Simpson and Lynskey on the Stephen King-based mini-series Red Rose. There were no celebrities. The actress who famously acts in the comedy series Two And A Half Men alongside Charlie Sheen, stunned all in a wedding gown designed by Trelise Cooper.
The newly-married couple are scheduled to stay in New Plymouth this week. Simpson, had proposed to Lynskey at her family’s North Taranaki beach house about 15 months back. They have devoted a website to their wedding, which says,
We are so excited that we’re going to get to celebrate our wedding with our friends and family, and we’re so happy that you’re all going to be able to experience this lovely part of the world.
