Hollywood actor Michael Douglas’ son and grandson of iconic actor-producer, Cameron Douglas will stand trial on cocaine possession charges on November 16, 2007. The 28-year-old and his fellow friend Christopher Lane, 30, stand trial for possession of hypodermic needle in a car near a Santa Barbara, Calif. Motel.

The charges framed against the duo are for their arrest on July 22 this year. The police had caught Cameron and his pal, Lane with a syringe on the floorboard, which contained liquid cocaine in it. However Cameron’s chances of getting acquitted are pretty strong as Lane had accepted that the syringe belonged to him at the time of arrest.

Though during pretrial hearing Cameron was charged for being under the influence of the controlled substance on the basis of testimony of a Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Deputy. And possibly it would make things bit difficult for the star son at the time of arraignment on Nov. 16.

A DJ by profession, Cameron has appeared in Jackie Chan’s Mr. Nice Guy, It Runs in the Family, and National Lampoon’s Adam & Eve. He appeared with father Michael Douglas and grandfather Kirk Douglas in comedy-drama film In It Runs in the Family.
