King of Pop, Michael Jackson will make a comeback on television this December after his last appearance four years back. Earlier he had made to the small screen on Idependent Television (ITV) in an interview with Martin Bashir that led him to the court case related with child molestation. This time too he has signed a deal with the same channel and will appear as a mentor on December 1, 2007 on British talent show X Factor.

Other judges of the show that would join Jackson are Sharon Osbourne, Simon Cowell, Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh. He would be helping participants to pick the right material and will boost their vocal.

It has been learnt that the ‘Thriller’ singer accepted the deal offered by exec Simon Cowell for ITV, as he himself is a great fan of the show. According to a close source:

It’s no surprise that his first big public appearance will be in England. He knows he still has many loyal fans there.

The new season of X Factor that begun on August 18 will have its grand finale around December 15. Besides Jackson some well-known names that will make to the show are Elton John, Celine Dion, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Shayne Ward, Westlife and Season 3 winner Leona Lewis.

Currently Jackson is working on his comeback album. He is also expected to kick off a world tour in support of this album. The expected tour’s show would be his first live show since 2002 and first tour since 1997.

Earlier this month he did a photoshoot with Bruce Weber in NYC to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of his sixth studio album titled ‘Thriller’.
