I don’t generally write stuff about Miley Cyrus unless it carries some real (hidden) message for the teenage kids and their protective parents. So here’s one such important news about Miley Cyrus. Contrary to the rumors doing rounds on the internet, Miley Cyrus is NOT engaged to her 19-year-old Australian boyfriend and Last Song costar, Liam Hemsworth.

“Miley’s not engaged,” her rep tells PEOPLE, after the Hannah Montana star, 17, was caught stepping out in L.A. on Thursday wearing a sparkly ring on her left hand. Rumors immediately began to spread that she and her 19-year-old Australian boyfriend and Last Song costar, Liam Hemsworth, 19, may be getting married.
I’m amazed and surprised. For once, I do admit that Miley sure can act as a role model for your teenage daughters. Here’s Miley’s message to all her fans and their parents –
It’s OK for a teenage girl to date a guy ten years her senior, it’s OK to romp the streets in revealing clothes, and it’s perfectly OK to loiter on the beach and exchange saliva with your boyfriend… but you got to be more mature to think about a serious commitment!
