Mischa Barton is excited to ring in 2008 at the Luxor’s new CatHouse club on New Years Eve despite her brief arrest on Thursday morning, in West Hollywood. The 21-year-old spent seven hours behind the bars following her arrest on suspicion of drunken driving, marijuana possession that she was carrying in an unlabeled bottle and driving a white Range Rover without her license.
Barton, who played Marrisa Copper’s role in ‘The OC’, FOX’s teen-drama, was stopped as she straddled two lanes of traffic and failed to signal while taking a turn. Handcuffed Barton was then taken to the West Hollywood Sheriff’s station and later released on a bail of $10,000. She will appear in Beverly Hills Court on February 28, 2008 to face the DUI and drug possession charges.
Well, if Barton is really excited on approaching New Year’s, then she should make sure she doesn’t repeat the same in coming times or else she will also be treated like socialite Paris Hilton. After all law is same for everyone.
