Morocco’s contribution to reduce global warming

The Water and Environment Secretary of State, announced during a press conference right before the government’s cabinet meeting that Morocco will produce 40% of its energy from renewable sources by the year 2020. He added that Morocco have been working on many plans and programs in renewable energies tailored to climate change in a bid to contribute to reducing global warming.

For more practical procedures to face up the global climate challenges, Morocco has set up a new strategy for the development of hydraulic resources which will enable the Kingdom to ensure food security. Other procedures are protecting forests, preserve halieutic resources and produce clean energy through the promotion of solar and wind power.
