New bread mix offers Americans daily whole grain diet

reee112Golden Valley based General Mills Inc. rolls out a new whole grain bread mix called as Duru White, containing 8-16 grams of whole grain per serving. As per reports, this mix is the first step towards encouraging consumers in including whole grain in their daily diet. Jon Althoff, director, Fresh Bread Solutions, General Mills said:

Consumers are increasingly looking for new ways to incorporate whole grain into their diets, and we want to make it as easy as possible.

This bread mix is available in the bakeries under the Country Hearth, Schwebel, Sunbeam and Gold Medal brands. This flour will gradually transform the baked goods into whole foods products. In other words, it will give people bit-by-bit instead of completely transforming the taste and texture of foods.
