Nichole Richie finally landed into jail just one month after her pal Paris Hilton walked away from the jail. Richie pleaded guilty to DUI and was slapped Friday with four days in jail, a fine of $2,048, and orders to attend drug and alcohol rehab.
Richie, 25, the daughter of pop singer Lionel Richie was lectured by a court commissioner about driving down the wrong way on a highway and telling her that she was lucky that nobody was killed during the incident.
Richie, who is gossiped to be pregnant with boyfriend Joel Madden’s baby, entered court with him. She got credit for six hours she had earlier served in jail reducing to 90 hours she must spend behind the bars and was also given three years’ probation.
Los Angeles County Superior Court Commissioner Steve Lubell warned Richie that if she violated her probation, she would go to county jail for a year.
