Hollywood’s highest paid actress Nicole Kidman has been voted as the best dressed celebrity at the Oscar 2007. Almost 8,000 people participated in the poll by Hello magazine, which celebrated the red carpet style of Tinseltown’s most glamorous night.
The Australian actress topped the charts for the second year in a row with 32 per cent of the vote declaring Kidman, in a scarlet Balenciaga gown with a halter-neck bow detail as the best dressed.
Penelope Cruz, closely followed the style queen with 28 per cent of voters favouring her outfit. Her strapless Versace dress and 20-carat Chopard diamond earrings were highly appreciated by fashionistas world over.
Cate Blanchett, finished third on the glamour poll with her grey, one-shouldered bejewelled Armani Prive gown.
Reese Witherspoon got 10 per cent of the total votes for her strapless, deep purple Nina Ricci number which bagged her the fourth place.
Best actress, Helen Mirren’s glittering gold Christian Lacroix gown was voted fifth. Sixth place went to British starlet Kate Winslet, for her much talked about mint green Valentino gown.
