Seldomly we find fortunate people who accomplish their childhood dreams when they grow up. One such star happens to be actress Nicole Kidman whose childhood dream has come true with her upcoming film ‘Australia.’

Baz Luhrmann’s film Australia is something that Kidman had dreamt to be a apart of since 1983, when she got her first role and appeared in Pat Wilson’s music video titled Bop Girl.

The Australian actress married to singer Keith Urban co-stars with Hugh Jackman in Australia. The film is based on bombing during World War II and has been shot at places like Sydney, Darwin, Kununurra, and Bowen in Australia.

The film shot at beautiful landscapes sans green screen is the journey of a woman and her transformation when she visits a new country, Australia.

Nicole Kidman who plays an English, Lady Sarah Ashley in the film said:

I became an actor because I wanted to act with other actors. That’s been the beauty of Baz’s film – you are on location breathing the air, feeling the impact of the sunsets.

Comparing her fantasy film ‘The Golden Compass’ that releases on Dec. 5, 2007 with ‘Australia’ she further added:

With ‘The Golden Compass’ you really have to use your imagination. ‘Australia’ is the last of a dying breed and this is part of the new wave.
