Anne Hathaway says that she won’t have Botox because she’s afraid it will erase her real identity. Anne reveals in the December 2010 issue of Elle UK that she will never resort to botox because the imperfections of her face tell the story of her life.
The beautiful actress says she was offered the chance to have Botox at the age of just 23 but she refused the age-defying treatment saying that she doesn’t want to “erase” who she is. In her own beautiful words,
I had someone offer me Botox at 23. From the age of 25 to 27 – and this is a little embarrassing to admit – I looked under my eyes every single day, because I thought, ‘It’s going, it’s going, it’s going!’And then I realised the other day there not wrinkles; they’re smile lines. If you look at pictures of me from a young age, I’ve been smiling the same way since I was little. And I had that wonderful moment when you realise, ‘That’s who I am.’Botox would erase that.
Now, that’s what I call true beauty. I hope people learn something from Anne and stop trading their natural bodies for an enhanced and artificial version. Hats off to you, Anne Hathaway!
