The ongoing inquest in Princess Diana’s tragic death was told about her last and final words. According to the eyewitness, a French, Damien Dalby who had stopped at the accident scene disclosed that he did hear Diana murmuring ‘Oh my God, oh my God’.

The Frenchman happened to pass from the place when he was driving into the Alma Tunnel in Paris with his brother and saw the Mercedes on the opposite side. He recalls seeing a rear door open and a woman (Diana) badly crushed with the footwell and said:

There was smoke coming from the car. I wanted to stop the battery but couldn’t. The lady was trying to speak. She was saying, ‘Oh my God, Oh my God’.

Damien who was unable to understand English added:

There was a tourist who did and I asked him to tell the bodyguard not to move because the emergency services were arriving.

Damien recounts hearing photographers shouting ‘She is alive!’ and helpng her to move for emergency services. Though cops had to really fight in hard to push back the paparazzi as one photog insisted clicking on more pics and was heard saying ‘We are earning our money out of that, please leave us to do our job.’

The inquest took a different route when suddenly author Jacques Morel (who has earlier made wild claims about Diana) tried to bet a million dollars saying that a secret file about Princess’ death is held by French and British.

This bet was dismissed by Dodi Fayed’s lawyer as he said that any such file does not exist but he was taken aback by Morel’s reply as he spoke:

I can bet you one million US dollars and I can send it to you in 24 hours.
