Fish is back to the American platter, but this time a 15 year old, Swedish study, led by Alicja Wolk of the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm reported fatty fish to be linked with treating Kidney cancer.

The findings are provide that lean fish like tuna, cod and fresh water fish do not show efficiency in treating kidney cancer as they are lower in Omega3 fatty acids when compared to fatty fishes like salmon, herring, sardines, and mackerel. Previous research shows that a diet rich in fatty fish was fed to patients with high cholesterol and the results were a lower risk in heart disease.

However, much has not been revealed to go beyond the benefits of eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaeneoic acid as well as vitamin D for health, but it has not been satisfactorily linked to reasons of reducing risks of kidney cancer. American Cancer Society and the consumers need to know as to how antithrombotic elements in fishes kill cancer cells.
