Prince Hussain, the son of the Aga Khan, the billionaire spiritual leader of the world’s Shia Ismaili Muslims, has married his American sweetheart Kristin White in Paris.
At the religious wedding ceremony, the bride, who took the name Khaliya following her conversion to Islam was beautifully draped in ivory and gold traditional dress, accessorized with precious hair jewels.
For her wedding vows, the 30-year-old then slipped into an elegant champagne coloured suit.
Both fell for each other during their studies at New York’s Columbia University. Princess Khaliya is a consultant on health and development issues. Her 32-year-old husband, who graduated in international relations, heads environmental projects at the Aga Khan Foundation.
