‘The Lord of the Rings’ star Orlando Bloom these days is busy building his new house in London and that to keeping the environment in mind.
The 30-year old British actor revealed this at a pre-Oscar party benefiting the environmental organization Global Green USA and its efforts to combat global climate change.
Bloom said,
It’s as green as I can make it. It’s got solar panels on the roof, energy efficient light bulbs – newer technology basically that is environmentally friendly.
Bloom agreed that not everyone can live a totally green lifestyle, but they can start by unplugging their cell phone chargers or turning off their TV when not in use.
He said,
It doesn’t have to be overwhelming, there are simple things we can do.
In 2002, Bloom was chosen as one of the Teen People ’25 Hottest Stars Under 25′ and was named People’s hottest Hollywood bachelor in the magazine’s 2004 list.
He is currently filming the third of the series, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End,’ which is to be released on May 25, 2007.
