Tom Cruise’s infamous appearances on ‘Today’ and ‘Oprah’ is still taking toll on his life, he was highly criticized for his behavior on the show and for the series of such incidents. Sumner Redstone, chief honcho at Viacom, the parent company of Paramount revealed it lately that Tom’s controversial conduct and behavior over past one year has become the reason of their split with his company Cruise/Wagner Productions.
Redstone thinks all such incidents had a negative impact on Tom’s image that became one of the reasons why Mission Impossible III didn’t perform as good as expected. He says Tom’s recent behavior is not acceptable to Paramount and it would be wrong if they renew his agreement with the company.
In return, Cruise’s producing partner, Paula Wagner said, Redstone’s comments were ‘outrageous and disrespectful.’ She further added that they broke off negotiations with Paramount within the last few days, their company owns revolving fund $100 million and they will make movies in future.
