Paris Hilton quits a slated appearance at next week’s Billboard Music Awards for the reason that she was not pleased with the jokes written for her, according to her spokesperson Elliot Mintz.
Hilton’s spokesperson in her statement on Saturday said,
It is my understanding that some satirical references ridiculed some of her peers. Paris did not want to say anything that could appear hurtful or embarrassing about people she knows.
Mintz said that the script delivered to Hilton on Friday contained stuff she found ‘objectionable’ and the reps of the awards failed to meet an agreement regarding the script’s content so she decided to back out.
The show is slated to air live on FOX.
Well this is heartbreaking news for Hilton’s best buddy Britney. Both of them were scheduled to co-host Billboard Awards. Now Spears will be hosting the show without her best pal. She is definitely going to miss Hilton during the show.
