Robert Pattinson, lead actor of the hugely successful Twilight series, lied about his royal connections in order to get work in Hollywood. The 24-year-old actor, born and brought up in London, said he lied about his connections with the British royal family in order to get work in Hollywood, and has now clarified that he has never met them.
Pattinson, who shot to fame as the fearless vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight movies, was speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live and to a question if he knew the prince or anyone in the British royal family, he said he was amused when people still quiz him on the topic.
Rob said:
I don’t think I’ve ever met them. I used to tell people when I came to the States that I did. They believed me! Five or six years ago when I first used to come to Los Angeles there weren’t many English people, now there are like a million and people still believe me.
