Paul McCartney wants to settle matters out-of-court

Paul & Heather Sir Paul McCartney doesn???t want to wash his dirty linen in public courts. Just as the divorce saga with his estranged wife seems to be headed for a finale in the high court, Sir Paul has come out and voiced an out-of-court settlement.
It is reported in the British tabloids that McCartney???s lawyers have told Heather Mills that Paul???s ready to talk. The couple is otherwise all set to battle it out in the court over the course of a five-day hearing next month. Heather had made it quite clear that she wasn???t going to take it easy on the former Beatle and was going to represent herself ???blitzkrieg-style.???

Apparently, disconcerted over what parts of the couple???s life was going to be made public by Heather Mills, Sir Paul has decided that a deal outside the public courts would be in his best interest. Also there???s the little matter of their 4-year-old daughter Beatrice being adversely affected by courtroom drama.

The fact, however, remains that any agreement is likely to cost McCartney a great deal of money. With Heather contending that her carrier was ruined after her marriage with Sir Paul, the latter might be required to compensate her financially for the rest of her life. She is also likely to contend that it was her emotional support that revived her husband???s music carrier, which lay in emotional shambles after the death of his first wife in 1998.
It is quite obvious that Sir Paul might be called on to pay through the nose if he wants to settle this outside of court.
