Recently Stella McCartney, a well-known fashion designer, has been awarded as the ‘Person of the Year’ by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). Stella is completely against wearing fur and leather stuffs and says ‘no’ to fur and leather in her personal collection.

This fashion designer was eventually inspired by her mother to a large extent. Her mum’s influence can be clearly marked in all of Stella’s activities — the way she volunteered for the cause of animal rights.

In her protest, the 36-year-old lady has included one more specific demand – – she asked the British Airways to stop using leather seats or banning its complete usage from first class compartments.

She said,

I consider sitting on a poor cow’s skin a throwback to earlier, harder times – not a luxury.

In addition to this, Stella also described a distressing video revealing the actual fact about the unkind procedures going on in fur farms. She started a crusade against the use of fur in the year 2007.

It’s party time for Stella for her dual success, as it is in the very last month, she was honored the — ‘Designer of the Year’. Well, congratulations Stella, keep it up!
