As expected the ???crack??? video has landed Amy Winehouse in a thick, foggy soup and now the Metropolitan Police are getting involved and have announced an investigation into the singer???s claims of having had a drug bash at her home.
A copy of the tape has been made available to the police who have handed it over to Tower Hamlets detectives for further analysis. A spokesman for the Scotland Yard confirmed reports of the investigation:
Officers will be viewing the footage when we receive it from the media. We will then assess the footage to ascertain whether any action needs to be taken.
A few hours earlier, a teary-eyed Amy was seen paying a quick visit to her rehab clinic though her reps maintain that it was just a routine weekly session which was a part of her ongoing drug addiction treatment.
The shocking footage which had been outed in the media yesterday has also put a question mark on the artist???s appearance at the Grammys next month as the investigation might make her ineligible for an American visa.
What???s even worse for the singer is that her record label might reconsider her contract if the police decide to place charges against her, though they have refused to comment on the situation so far.
