Prince William and Kate Middleton finally confirmed that they plan to tie the knot! Britain’s royal family announced Tuesday that the couple became engaged in October 2010 while on a private holiday in Kenya. The wedding is expected sometime in spring or summer of 2011.

While no date has been revealed, it is thought the ceremony will be held in a few months and be the biggest since William’s mother, Diana, married Prince Charles.
“Everyone is absolutely delighted. He has never had eyes for any other woman since Kate came on the scene,” says an old friend. “She is going to make a wonderful wife, a wonderful princess.”
A royal congratulation to the royal couple! I’ve been closely keeping a tab on the progress of Prince William and Kate’s relationship and I must admit that they have beautifully steered their love wagon past all those periodic media gossips to reach at this blissful juncture. The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince William to Miss Catherine Middleton.
The wedding will take place in the Spring or Summer of 2011, in London. Further details about the wedding day will be announced in due course.
Prince William and Miss Middleton became engaged in October during a private holiday in Kenya. Prince William has informed The Queen and other close members of his family. Prince William has also sought the permission of Miss Middleton’s father.
Following the marriage, the couple will live in north Wales, where Prince William will continue to serve with the Royal Air Force.
