Princess Beatrice, the 19-year-old daughter of Prince Andrew had her first hand experinence with Hollywood. The fifth in line for the throne, Beatrice spent a long cold day on location in Lincoln Cathedral shooting scenes for The Young Victoria, a Martin Scorsese production based on the life of her great-great-great-great-grandmother.

Depite being a princess, Beatrice had to be satisfied with the non speaking part as lady-in-waiting. Her wad was not given any special treatment in the form of concession on the 5.30am call for duty.

But, none of these dampened her spirits to shoot for the movie and in excitement she said,

It was tiring and I was freezing cold, but I absolutely loved it,” she said after finishing filming Victoria’s coronation. I am so excited about it.

Beatrice enjoyed the most with her different kind of spectacular corseted period costume. The leading role of Victoria is played by Emily Blunt and Rupert Friend as Albert.

Bea’s mother , the Duchess of York, is played by the executive producer who also provided with the idea of filming a movie on Victoria’s early days.

One of the spokesperson of the Duchess said,

Beatrice is playing one of Victoria’s ladies-in-waiting. She’s carrying her train and things like that. She has always had a great admiration for the Queen and is named after one of her daughters. She really wanted to be involved in this project.

Beatrice who has recieved an A in drama, B in film studies and B in history is currently on a year long gap.

Her plans as of now, is to spend one half of the year in New Tork to gain first hand experience and hopes to organize a charity trip for Africa before joining university.

Though still involved in the learning process, the director of the movie Jean-Marc Vallee, addresses Beatrice as “very patient” during what can sometimes be a long and arduous process.
