We all know that R. Kelly, 40, was accused in 2002 of 14 counts of child pornography, including making a videotape where he allegedly has sex with an underage girl. Prosecutors claim the video was made between January 1998 and October 2000.
R.Kelly makes headlines again. A bench warrant was issued for R. Kelly today for his failure to appear in a Chicago court for the aforementioned case.
R. Kelly was ordered to appear in court Thursday at 9 a.m. or face arrest. According to Kelly’s defense lawyer, Ed Genson, the snow in Utah prevented Kelly from being present at the court despite his best intentions.
Sources say that the case would probably not go on trial before Spring 2008.
