‘Dog the Bounty Hunter’ presented a grand gesture of kindness towards homeless children and decided to play Santa this Christmas. The reality TV star bought toys worth $26,000 and distributed them as Christmas presents among the inmates of BOND Home for Boys and the Jim Gillian Youth Center charities.

The 54-year-old reality TV star, whose real name is Duane Chapman, entered the Los Angeles toy shop ‘Toys R Us’ along with wife Beth and an entourage of under-privileged children. According to onlookers, he picked up a variety of toys including footballs, remote-control cars and action figures.

During his shopping spree, Dog was very protective about the kids and enjoyed every moment with them. As the extravagant shopping came to an end, a lorry was ordered to transport the toys to their respective destinations.

Dog became a household name following the great success met by his TV series when he captured serial rapist and Max Factor heir Andrew Luster in Mexico in 2003. After tasting success for a couple of years, the series was taken off air following a controvery that brewed because of a racial remark made by Dog.

Anyway, it seems the Bounty Hunter knows how to mend his scarred reputation. His generous act will definitely earn him a place in millions of hearts.
