While the police are still examining Amy Winehouse???s now infamous crack-smoking video, her record label Universal Music got her checked into rehab.
In a released statement, the label said:
Amy decided to enter the facility today after talks with her record label, management, family and doctors. She has come to understand that she requires specialist treatment to continue her ongoing recovery from drug addiction.
The statement also hinted that the Rehab singer still had plans to perform at the Grammys in February.
The troubled singer has been nominated for six awards at the Grammys for her acclaimed album ???Back to Black???.
The press release also confirmed that Amy would not be making a scheduled appearance at the NRJ music awards ceremony in France this Saturday, adding that it hoped the singer would soon ???come back to full health and fulfill her incredible potential with the label.
