When I finished reading the script I thought, Wow, I had no idea this woman had led such a fascinating life. You associate this woman with her characters and I had quite a different picture in my mind about what her life might have been like.
I had no idea about the tragedies, or how rich her scientific achievements were, or the contributions she made in terms of conservation and the environment. She was a woman of her era, but her ideas and what she was able to achieve were ahead of her time.
