Richard Gere urges Indian prostitutes to press for condom use

richard gere 38 Crusading actor Richard Gere has taken off to India with a view to giving advice to local prostitutes about how to keep themselves safe and sound against HIV/AIDS. Hollywood actor & AIDS activist Gere got thousands of sex workers to their feet on Wednesday, by advising them to pressurize their clients to make use of condoms.

The Hollywood star, before issuing his stark warning, rooted for thousands of Indian sex workers who were dancing to raunchy Bollywood songs in Mumbai earlier today. Gere urged the horde of over 15,000 people to repeat the chant after him.

He repeated,

No condom, no sex. No condom, no sex. No condom, no sex.

Gere and Indian actress Bipasha Basu also distributed awards among sex workers in respect of their work on a variety of HIV/AIDS intervention programs. Gere released the “Heroes Project” four years back to reach the message of prevention to Indians.

In accordance with the figures of United Nations figures, 5.7 million Indians are in the grip of HIV/AIDS, the largest number of people in the world.
