Rihanna has become the latest celebrity to be honored with her own wax statue at Madame Tussauds. The 22-year-old Barbadian beauty unveiled the wax figure at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in Washington D.C. yesterday and wasted no time in swapping her Twitter profile image for a thumbnail of her kissing the wax replica.

The ‘Rude Boy’ singer is the latest star to be honoured with her own replica figure by famous museum Madame Tussauds and was so happy with her likeness – unveiled in Washington D.C. yesterday (31.08.10) – that she immediately tweeted a picture of it. The singer’s stylish double wears a black lace corset, fitted jacket, skinny pants and black silk heels, by Balmain, which was donated by Rihanna and is the outfit she wore to the French fashion house’s show during Paris Fashion Week last October. Madame Tussauds added diamond earrings, tennis bracelet and a ring, as well as a glittering pin on the jacket lapel of the figure, which sports the singer’s trademark blonde quiff.
I’m not sure about the posture and gesture of RiRi’s wax replica because I’m yet to see the full picture, but I feel she totally slipped while selecting the outfit for her wax twin. Something on the lines of the above pic (the outfit plus her raunchy pose) would have been more perfect. After all, RiRi babe is synonymous with raunchiness and that wax statue is going to stay forever. Anyway, here’s a big congrats to RiRi babe on this new honor.
